This is an unfortunate circumstance ... a very good stab at programming rendered useless by NO SUPPORT.
After spending $280 for this script, I encountered problems that should have been easy enough to resolve. SQL errors with the search routines plagued certain aspects off the script.
Those I could easily find and fix (typos on variables names etc) I did. Some errors though really would require me to de-engineer the application to find and correct ... this hardly seemed like something a script purchaser should be required to do!
In an attempt to get help with the issues, I:
1. emailed support, 3 times --- NO RESPONSE
2. I use their web sites support system, it's been about two weeks and still no response from either my e-mails or support ticket.
SO, as I see this product now, it is 'abandonware' --- once you purchase it, you are abandoned. Under the circumstances, unless you are a SQL/PHP programmer or don't mind paying one to debug this software, look elsewhere for your social networking solutions.

I purchased the product a few months ago. EMail messages to their support team and using their support forum yields no response. Be careful, you are on your own if you purchase from them - - this is surely one good product that looked promising but has been killed. They should consider donating it to the open source world - Unfortunately a ZERO rating does not exist; they would have deserved it for lack of support.

they tried to make a friendsters type product which paritially succeeds- but you can tell they cut corners, and it is not very user friendly-- have to go through extra steps to do things-- even to add pictures.They just do not answer emails-- multiple requests go unanswered.
Too bad they have potential for a good product-- but fail.

What the above reviews said were true. Pre-sales support is freaking responsive.... I got a reply within 3 mins after I sent an email regarding their software. I was rather skeptical at first when I read the reviews but still I went ahead to purchase the software since it is the best social networking script around with the most features. After sales support is still as good (thank god) and their E-friends script has been working great on our server so far on our site. Keep up the good work!

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SCRIPT unless you are a master programmer who can fix all of the shortcomings with this potentially good script. As other users have said, they will talk to you all day long presales and will simply disappear after you become a customer.
If you like throwing away money purchase this script. If the words from so many other burnt buyers including myself helps then don't make the mistake that we did.

I purchased this script last year and had it heavily modified but it still doesn't feel as professional as other newer scripts are. I didn't think the follow-up support was that bad - was pretty decent for me but just the whole script itself - there's definitely better out there. Keep researching and if all else fails, get this product (but only if you can programme as otherwise, it will become an expensive nightmare!).

Presales email support was pretty good & response rate was a blazing 5mins but I started to get worried when their tech support aint that quick as before as I need to get my site up ASAP. Luckily I managed to hook up with them via their free toll-free number and spoke one of the staff (pretty courteous) and they actually got my site up within 10 mins after the call! I was impressed but if not for their phone support I might be probably got stranded. I would SERIOUSLY recommend giving them a call

I bought this script and had alstrasoft install it for me.. so far I have found numerous bugs (even a basic one like wrong image file linking)...the site also has errors after they installed it, and as yet am still awaiting a reply for the three support tickets and emails from a week ago. It COULD be a very good script.. but lack of support, bugs and a failure to reply once they have sold it to you seems like 3 reasons to stay away of this product.

I have purchased this script, and was expecting to work. There are too many bugs, and there is NO support. On pre-sales they do a good job, after you buy it forget it. The phone number is bogus, it does not work, there is no number associated witht the 888 number. Chat online does not work, no one will respond to your support emails. Unless you are a php programmer do not buy this, you will regret it and realize that this script is listed here under several names.

I have used and tested a lot of software scripts and not only is this script the worst. All Altrasofts products are very bad and poorly designed. Their e-friends script has so many bugs, is very generic, and frankly very cheesey. It's so cheaply made that people really don't want to waste their time joining. It doesn't stop there, Altrasofts support is horrific. Once you buy it they pretty much cut off contact. Shop around, there are many better alternatives.
